Botanik is a strategy board game where two players compete to create a network of plants and machinery in order to save a bizarre world. It takes place in a fun and weird universe.

In this tile placement game, players collect tiles and create their own machine. To retrieve a tile, they first need to put it on their side of the Registry, which is a common market for both players. However, to add a tile to their network, they must release it from the Registry by putting a new tile in play. This not only allows them to build their own network, but also prevents the opponent from getting new tiles or forces them to take a tile at an inopportune time.

The gameplay is designed for tight two-player action. Players must strategically plan their moves, carefully selecting tiles from the central market and replacing them with other tiles. By doing so, they can set themselves up for great plays while disrupting their opponent's plans.
